Seasonal · Whitby

Bram Stoker wrote part of Dracula on the clifftop above this ruin, so English Heritage leaning into that is fair game: the abbey's skeleton is bathed in dramatic lighting after dark, with new interactive performances threading a Dracula theme through the ruins and local vendors doing suitably autumnal food and drink.
Runs 5.30–9pm across nine nights — old enough kids and teens will get more out of the atmosphere than very young ones, and Whitby residents get half-price on opening nights. Book ahead; it sells out.
