Eleven artists — among them Conrad Shawcross and Ivana Bašić — get a stretch of Regent's Park's English Gardens each autumn, and it's one of London's best free art outings precisely because there's no queue, no ticket and no rush. Curated by Fatoş Üstek for a fourth year running, the trail rewards a proper unhurried walk rather than a dash between pieces.

Go on a weekday morning if you want the gardens close to yourself, or combine it with the roses nearby if you're there before they're cut back for winter.
