Craft & making · Widecombe In The Moor

Every Thursday through October, local makers set out their ceramics, textiles and woodwork inside Church House — a Grade II* listed, National Trust-owned hall built around 1537 in the middle of the moor. It's a small, unhurried market rather than a destination event, which is exactly the point: you can chat properly with whoever made the thing you're holding.
Combine it with a walk on Dartmoor either side, and it's an easy excuse to visit Widecombe on a quieter day than fair season brings.
