Preston Makers Market

Preston's grand civic square — flanked by the Harris and the Flag Market's own war memorial — fills with around 75 independent stallholders for the day: handmade jewellery, art, homeware and small-batch food and drink, all vetted for quality rather than mass-produced stock.

It runs on the second Saturday of the month, so it's an easy one to build a weekend around, and there's street food and coffee on hand for when your arms are full of bags.
