Exhibition · Oxford

Appau Jnr Boakye-Yiadom builds sound sculptures out of retired museum instruments — a strange, quiet show about what happens to an object's voice once it's taken out of use. It's the kind of exhibition that rewards slowing down, in a gallery a few minutes' walk from the covered market.
Entry is free and the rooms are never crowded, so a lunchtime detour turns easily into a proper afternoon — especially if you catch one of the curator-led tours that run through the summer.
