Leicester's atmospheric medieval Guildhall turns over its weekends through October to Halloween crafts — bat-hat making, window decorations and monster crafts — with extended daily sessions during half term. Costumes are encouraged, and the building's timber-framed rooms do plenty of atmosphere for free.
Worth knowing before you go: wheelchair access is ground-floor only, with a cobbled approach path.
