Pumpkin Patch at Lower House Farm

Laura and Matt turned a corner of their 114-acre farm at the foot of Wentwood into a proper pick-your-own pumpkin patch a couple of years back, and it's grown into one of the better ones in South Wales — around 2,500 pumpkins in every size and colour, from palm-sized minis to genuine giants, plus white, yellow and tiger-striped varieties you won't find in a supermarket.

It's unfussy and farm-run rather than a big commercial operation: say hello to the animals, grab something hot from the barn, and take your pick among the vines. Book your car pass online before you go.
