A knowledgeable warden leads you round reed bed and heath as the reserve turns — migrant waders passing through, fungi popping up underfoot, and if you're lucky a marsh harrier overhead.

Eleven dates run right through to late November, so there's no need to fight for one weekend slot, and the price includes a coffee back at the café to warm up afterwards.
