Broadstairs Autumn Food Festival

Around 100 stalls of small producers — bread, preserves, Kent cider and spirits, proper street food — take over Victoria Gardens for the weekend, with live music at the bandstand and a Kitchen Theatre programme of chef demos running alongside.

Long-running and locally organised rather than chain-heavy, it's an easy one to build a whole seaside Saturday around: graze your way round the stalls, catch a demo, walk it off along the clifftop.
