"Dog-friendly" gets slapped on a lot of places that mean "you can tie your dog up outside." This isn't that list. These are days out where your dog is genuinely welcome — on the trails, in the tea room, sometimes even round the castle — from a whole day of country park to a beach they'll never want to leave.

Beaches dogs love (year-round access)

Camber Sands, East Sussex

Miles of proper sand with dogs allowed all year on the western end. Flat, huge and glorious for a run — check the seasonal restriction zones and stick to the permitted stretch in summer.
